1 Introduction

The parking guidance information system PGIS (Parting Guidance and Informa-tion System) is an important part of the Intelligent Transport System (ITS), which provides drivers with the location, usage, route, and road traffic conditions of the parking lot in a variety of ways. Information, induce drivers to find the parking lot location most effectively, use parking facilities in a balanced way, reduce the phenomenon of on-street parking and the time required for drivers to find parking spaces, thereby reducing the traffic volume on bustling roads. The latest survey data shows that the ratio of vehicle ownership to parking spaces in Xi’an urban area is 5. 75:1. With the increase in the number of cars, the problem of parking difficulties will become more prominent. Therefore, the development of parking lot guidance information system is an important measure to improve the level of urban traffic management.

PGIS has been widely used abroad, but domestic PGIS research and application are mainly the intelligent parking control of a single parking lot. The parking guidance problem is rarely considered from the perspective of the entire city, especially the high-speed information interaction between travelers and the parking guidance system. Therefore, starting from the actual urban traffic conditions and learning from the mature experience of foreign PGIS, a new urban parking guidance information system design scheme based on mobile communication technology is proposed.

2 Parking Guidance Information System PGIS

PGIS is mainly composed of four parts: parking lot information collection system, information management (center) system, information transmission system and information service system. As shown in Figure 1. The system collects the empty parking spaces of the parking lot through the empty parking space collector and transmits them to the information management system. After processing by the information management control center computer, the transmission system immediately sends the information to the driver to guide the driver to the empty parking space.

2.1 System realization function

The system design requirements can effectively provide the driver with information about the location of the parking lot, the route to the parking lot, and the current status of the parking lot occupancy before and during driving. The main functions include: (1) It can reasonably guide the traveling vehicles to travel. Front parking, reducing the driver’s blindness when traveling; (2) Provide drivers with optional parking lot name, location, and real-time status information; (3) Determine the actual location of the vehicle and use GIS-T The information management system finds the nearest parking lot and parking space for the traveling vehicles; (4) Reduce the time and walking distance of the driver to find the parking lot, and at the same time improve the safety and convenience of parking; (5) Improve the parking lot The traffic service turnover volume is maximized by developers while meeting the reasonable needs of users; (6) Increasing the parking lot’s ability to respond to emergencies and improving the reliability of services; (7) Increasing the utilization rate of the parking lot.

2.2 Design of information acquisition system

When designing a parking lot collection system, it is necessary to consider not only the ability to collect accurate parking space information, but also to maximize the use of existing equipment to reduce input costs. The information collection system includes a vehicle detection coil, a vehicle detector, a local manager, a power supply system, and a local system controller. The acquisition system is installed at the entrance and exit of the parking lot, the number of vehicles entering and exiting is determined to determine the empty parking spaces of the remaining parking lot, and the entry and exit of the vehicles are judged according to the order of passing the entrance/exit detection coil, and recorded in sequence. The local system controller collects all vehicle detector information and stores it in the local database. Finally, the communication system uploads the data to the guidance data collection center.

2.3 Information management (center) system design

Information management system is a comprehensive information system that collects, stores, manages, comprehensively analyzes and processes parking lot geographic information, urban road traffic information, and provides other services. Transportation GIS-T (Geograph-ical Information System for Transportation) technology, including network logic design and data module design.

2.3.1 Network logic design

The parking guidance information system adopts a two-level network logic design. The information management center is the core of the entire guidance information system. It monitors all parking spaces and manages the Display content of the parking guidance screen. At the same time, the information management center will also provide online inquiry services for the public through the Web server, and provide drivers with mobile communication network services for inquiries using mobile phones. As the basic level parking lot information management computer, it integrates the data of various parts of the parking lot. Figure 3 shows the logical structure design of the network. 2.3.2 Module design of information management system

The information management system is the core of the parking guidance information system. The software adopts a modular structure design and provides interfaces such as website Display, GSM message reply, and real-time update of LED guidance screen information. It has strong scalability and portability. The information management system module is shown as in Fig. 4.

The parking lot management center client reads the corresponding data from the local management database and transmits it to the mobile data center through the local CDMA or GSM module. The mobile data center forwards the front-end collected data to the data management center (computer room center) and stores it in The database of the data management center.

The data in the data center is encoded and transmitted to the mobile data center through a dedicated line (VPN). The mobile data center sends the data to the front-end induction screen control card. The control card decodes the corresponding data and displays it on the screen. In addition, users can inquire about the vacant parking spaces in a certain area, the specific parking lot location information, and the charging status through the GSM data center.

The parking lot information management system software can provide the following main query functions: query and display the current parking lot operating status, total parking number, name, remaining parking number, parking lot location, parking lot number, etc.; query the current parking lot in a certain area Quantity, location, current number and name of empty parking spaces, etc.

2.4 Design of mobile communication transmission system

The information transmission system is the key to the design and function realization of the entire system. It transmits a large amount of real-time information such as the information collection system, user service requests, data transmission and issuing guidance instructions.

Considering factors such as the capacity of network access, the reliability of data interaction, construction investment, and the operating cost of the system, use China Mobile’s GPRS network or China Unicom’s CDMA network to achieve data communication. With the promotion of 3G mobile technology and its speed And the advantages of capacity. While the system is compatible with GSM and CDMA modules, it is gradually transitioning to 3G communication technology.

The parking lot information collection system obtains the parking space information of each parking lot in the city, and can also send the data to the information management data center through the mobile communication system. At the same time, considering the current development status of the parking lot management system, the collection system also receives the parking lot management system Send the information, perform the corresponding operation.

For parking lots that have achieved vehicle information collection, when equipped with a vehicle data collection module, a vehicle data transmission module can be configured, which is sent to the parking lot information management system through a serial port, and then sent to the city’s parking lot guidance data by the mobile communication module Collection center. 3 Algorithm design of parking guidance information system

Another core of the system is the processing algorithm of the induction system. The system obtains the vehicle location information and the dynamic parking information of the parking lot according to the user’s request information, the on-board positioning system and GIS-T, and comprehensively calculates the best guidance route. Figure 6 shows the algorithm flow of the parking guidance information system.

The user visits the WAB website or SMS center of the induction system through the mobile phone and car phone voice or SMS platform, and submits a parking destination request. For users who have made the same request multiple times, they are judged not to be induced, and prompts are given. Three times are appropriate. At the same time, the reserved parking space and the corresponding reserved account number and critical time are sent to the parking lot. 4 Instance verification

In response to the above system design requirements, the corresponding application software is developed. Taking a parking lot in a certain area as an example, the corresponding result data can be obtained through the simulation and calculation of the software, which can meet the design requirements. Table 1 shows the main parameters of the simulation test, and Table 2 shows the test results.

5 Conclusion

Analyze the functions of parking guidance information system, learn from foreign PGIS construction experience, adopt GIS-T technology, and combine the actual urban road conditions to propose a parking guidance information system design scheme based on mobile communication technology. The simulation test proves the effectiveness of the system. The system is designed to form a real-time parking guidance information system for large urban parking lots, especially super-large multi-regional, multi-level, large-area, multi-parking spaces, and complex routes to guide the parking of vehicles, which not only solves the driver’s search The blindness of the parking spaces saves time and fuel, and is conducive to the internal management of the parking lot. Therefore, the design of the system is of great significance in terms of energy saving, environmental protection, and improvement of the utilization rate of the parking lot. At the same time, it provides more accurate and effective guidance and decision-making auxiliary information for urban traffic management and control and driver travel.
